Best National Park In Every State

US National Park Bucket List from Traveling FergusonsAre you looking for an excuse to drag your kids away from thier screens and out into the bright light of day?  One of my favorite ways to do it is to take the family to a National Park for an adventure.  All you need is some sunscreen, bug spray, and a water bottle.  If you want to get fancy you can pack a picnic basket and hope that Yogi and Booboo don’t show up for lunch.

I know the number of people who have never been to a National Park is higher than those who have.  If you are one of them don’t worry! You will not be forced to climb a mountain or camp over night.  There are all kinds you can visit – historic monuments, fossil beds, battlefields, and beaches are a few of them.

To get you started Hubby and I have been working on this list for years.  We picked our favorite to start with and when we check it off the list we go back and find one to replace it.  You could say we are national park junkies.  We go to the Gulf Coast Seashore several times a month to play in the sand and wade in the ocean.  Hubby and I went to the Grand Canyon for part of our honeymoon.  We have hiked mountain trails, bisted archeological sites and historic homes that are all over seen by the National Park Service.

Depending on what state you live in there could be any where from one to over a doezen parks to choose from.  Want to find on?  The National Parks Service’s website has a search engine where you can look them up by state or region.  Below is the Traveling Fergusons bucket list of national parks.

Check out the national park website and start making your own list!  If you need more inspiration they have a blog with themed lists you can use as a starting point.  Interested in women’s rights? There is a list for you.  Interested in Presidents?  They have a list for that too.  How about spelunking?  Make yourself a dream list of caves to visit.
